We have been continuously monitoring the global outbreak and while it is rapidly changing, we have taken necessary measures to protect our team and help the community throughout the containment and mitigation process by working remotely since March 17th with full and secure access to our systems.

We are committed to keep you updated by informing any restriction measures placed by the Brazilian Government. Here are the latest official announcements:
- The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has suspended all deadlines falling between March 16th and April 14th. Any deadlines falling within that time will be extended to April 14th.
- Pursuant the recommendation of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), the Brazilian Government has temporarily restricted the entrance of foreigners coming from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, French Guiana, Guiana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
- The Brazilian Legislative Branch approved, on March 20th, a decree recognizing National State Emergency in view of the Covid-19 outbreak.
- Sao Paulo State Governor has determined quarantine for all non-essential services in the State of Sao Paulo from March 24th through April 7th. Such a measure may be extended.
- Sao Paulo State Governor has extended the quarantine for all non-essential services in the State of Sao Paulo from April 8th through April 22nd. Such a measure may be extended.
- The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has extended the suspension of all deadlines falling between April 14th and April 30th. Any deadlines falling within that time will be extended to April 30th.
- Sao Paulo State Governor has extended the quarantine for all non-essential services in the State of Sao Paulo to May 10th. Such a measure may be extended.
- The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has extended the suspension of all deadlines falling between April 30th and May 15th. Any deadlines falling within that time will be extended to May 15th.
- Sao Paulo State Governor has extended the quarantine for all non-essential services in the State of Sao Paulo to May 31st. Such a measure may be extended.
- The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has extended the suspension of all deadlines falling between May 15th and May 31st. Any deadlines falling within that time will be extended to May 31st.
- The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has officially notified that all deadlines will be resumed on June 1st . Exceptional cases will be examined individually.
